More Sour Grapes: Apparently Phyllis Schaftly is not happy...
I wasn't aware that she was still alive, much less writing melo-dramatic opinion articles. Her new moniker for Democrats: "The Party of Death". This is rich:

"This vote will expose the myth of the 'pro-life Democrat.' With this single vote, the Democratic Party will divide our nation into the Party of Death and the Party of Life, and future elections will never be the same."

2. Current unhappiness hardly represents a change for Ms. Schafly.
When _has_ she been happy? (Besides when the ERA failed to gain ratification, I mean?)

11. Agree. She's as disgruntled this afternoon as she was ten or twenty
years ago and she'll be disgruntled tomorrow morning as well, and next week, and in her next life as self-appointed shrieking harpie of the Far, Far Right.

A miserable soul.

5. She's a marital rape denier, too.
"By getting married, the woman has consented to sex, and I don't think you can call it rape."
Phyllis Schlafly at a 2007 speech at Bates College.

6. She is and always has been an whitey tighty piece of republican trash
since as long as I can remember she has trashed women. She doesn't believe Democratic women should have careers. She believes women should stay at home and all that jazz, all the while she runs around in sky high hair, makeup so thick you have to scrape it off and 4 inch heels. This woman is as old as the hills, but she has been like that since way back in the 70's. Isn't it a shame that she can have a career bashing Democrats going to meetings, telling everybody else what to do. She is despicable.
But then aren't all republicans.

10. There's something downright ghoulish about Phyllis Schlaffly.
Something spidery and cobwebby and disordered, like sounds coming from an abandoned house down the street...

When she speaks one hears slow creaking coffins and senses the other-worldly presence of embittered specters trying to avenge some imagined slight from a by-gone age.

She's an 8.5, at least, on the Creepazoid Index.

16. LOL - "pro-life Republicans" are figments of wacko imaginations...
These blowhards will vote for every war and vote down every piece of legislation meant to support life beyond birth.

Dems need to call them "anti-choice Republicans" - consistently and pointedly.
