18 months ago, a movie about the current GOP behavior would have seemed unbelievable.....

If I would have watched a movie a year ago and the movie contained....

-GOP Senators calling the president liars in a general session of congress

-GOP Senators opposing helping people obtain health care, even if they had pre-existing conditions

-Preventing insurance companies from terminating coverage and letting people die because of amount limits

-GOP supporters spitting on senators and using the N word at protest meetings

-People calling health care reform "as bad as 911"

-etc, etc, etc

I would have thought the writer/director was a left wing nut and it would have seemed 100% unbelievable!

Now it is 100% the truth!

Wow, as much as I knew they were all worthless, I still cannot believe they have been reduced to this!

This is not new... Nixon was the last Rethug president to be rational about much of anything, as much as it pains me to credit him--but as corrupt as he was, he did embrace environment, health care and some social progress. Reagan started this exploitation of hate and selfishness for political gains-- and it has only escalated in the decades since.
