"Funny" how the MSM is telling us that Repub. leaders "denounce all violence"
Edited on Thu Mar-25-10 01:11 PM by jenmito
but leave off their very next word which is invariable, "but...". They all go on to justify the violence, saying, "But the American people are angry that the Congress didn't listen to them and shoved this health care bill down their throats..." :eyes:

1. their 'but' negates their denunciation. Our denouncing violence shouldn't
include any buts.

And it should be loud and clear.

4. Exactly.
That's why their "denunciations" ring so hollow.

It's one thing to say you're philosophically/ideologically opposed to something or that you don't want something to pass for whatever reason but it's a whole other matter to intentionally try to frighten people by making hyperbolic claims about things like "death panels" and the "end of freedom". When you get people THAT scared and worked up that their lives and/or freedoms are at stake, some people, especially those whom are already seriously unhinged after hours and hours of listening to such hyperbolic claims by Beck, Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, et. al, may end up feeling so threatened that they come to feel like they HAVE to "do something" drastic like engage in violence against political opponents to *protect* themselves.

2. The only republican I heard denounce it without a "but" is Grassley.
I kept waiting for the turn they all make...
"but they are so angry because of those back room deals..." or the tyranny or the whatever
But he never did. He spoke against the violence, vandalism, threats...and that was it.

What a strange day has come that I compliment Chuck Grassley. He certainly added to the hysteria that caused it with his death panel talk at rallies, bragged about how he was negotiating just to stall the bill
and now the others are so bad I actually have to compliment him for being better

McCain gets uglier and uglier in his bitter, angry attitude. Just needed to say that. Can't believe he wants to end his long career being so nasty.

5. I watched him and he took credit for parts of the bill and still was against it.

6. I'm surprised to hear that about Grassley...
but not surprised to see McCain's attitude.

3. Republicans are trying to identify people as against the legislation when
they have no iota themselves about the truth.

And despite the worse polls out there it doesn't support their supposition.

To purport that the Congress (they mean Democrats of course) didn't listen to the people is ludicrous. Considering that when Republicans held their town halls they didn't allow health care reform supporters to be heard or wasted time with frivolous issues that had nothing to do with the town hall meetings. Republicans were only interested in hearing what they wanted to hear. And then interpret what others had to say as something else.

9. Could they be whining any louder with violence
thrown in because their tantrums aren't getting them anywhere?

And, we know we can't depend on the corporatemedia for the facts..they're for the whiners and against Democracy.

The American People were estatic in Iowa today.
