democrats need to turn out in NOvember to elect the most progressive candidates
possible.

The HOuse is the most left and it still has a fairly wide blue dog streak.

President Obama is not going to tack fall left if he knows he can't pass far left legislation so he is going to stay left center

The senate is generally even more left center particular the 15 that you need to pass anything-filibuster or not.

The farther left the congress, the farther left the policies. The president cannot pass the legislation on his own.

1. It's not up to the voters anymore.
You cannot promise progessive ideas time after time
and then renege.

At some point the elected ones need to reflect
their base.

Other wise it's for not.

3. The Dems will never be the great progressive party.
They are less worse then the Rethugs. That is always my motivation.

4. Dems have to start with the local contests, such as school board elections.

That's how some of the most heinous among the RNC (such as Palin) start their climb to power. Put dems in the lower governmental positions (from the municipal level on up) and you will block the RNC (especially the Teabaggers) from higher access.

5. For a chance of electing progressive candidates you had better start before November.
In November you will have the choice between the Democrat who won their primary or were unopposed or the same with the Republican.

6. What if.............
the most progressive candidate in the race is a blue dog? Should I just skip the election and let the republicans take over?

7. If the most progressive candidate is a blue dog...
then I imagine it's okay to vote for that candidate.
