Tthese media asses have an exalted opinion of themselves.
Mathews and his panelists this am wondered whether the President is hesitant to take on the big brains of the Washington press corps because they are so tough. Oh yeah the same crew that acted as a steno pool for W is too scary for one of the smartest persons to occupy the WH.I know this is neither news nor an original thought but today's "journalists" truly live in an alternative universe.

1. I watched the show, and I have to admit I literally laughed out loud when .....
the one woman, i think it was Nora O'Donnell, stated that the White House press corps is composed of the best journalists in the world.

2. Where did all those twits get their education?
Regent University?

George W Bush's grade school?

3. It was Norah.
It is stunning that they are so out of touch. Awhile ago, I watched Gregory praise the press corps for asking the hard questions of the Bush Regime on Iraq. Simply amazing.

4. OMG, I'm watching MTP and Gregory just showed the font page of the NY Post .....
and touting it as some standard of high ethical standards withing journalism.

14. Press Whores of a feather flock together!
Don't see any difference between Doofy Dave or the Screw York Times. Both have raised the art of Presstitution to a very high half-assed level!

8. You should HEAR how the press pool goes on and on about how there haven't been many formal briefings
.... this despite the fact that the President sits down with the network news shows several times a month.

I'd submit if they didn't insist on playing a game of gotcha (Yes Sara, you're right on taht one!) they'd get more attention.

with in depth, real reporting on the issues of the day.

11. Agreed.
I am constantly amazed at what I am aware of that Mathews has no inkling about. I think my favorite thing about Rachel is that she takes the time and makes the effort to be informed. Most of the rest of the pundits seem to parrot what they have heard other talking heads proclaim. I have had a hard time deciding whether the media is lazier or dumber.

12. I think it is pure laziness. Many of them are intelligent, educated people who
have somewhere along the way, lost the desire to care for anything more than having their own egos stroked.
Rachel is one of the few that knows what she is talking about.

13.  Go peddle your hateful view of the President somewhere else.
The flaw in your premise is that you have your head up your ass.

when it comes down to the knock-down business of bare-knuckle politics, he's shown time and again that he doesn't have that kind fight in him. He caves on everything.

I'll think about taking my head out of my ass if you take your lips off his.

17. Believe it or not,
just because it is your opinion does not make it fact. I am proud to be a supporter of the President even if when mischaraterized by some. So keep your head wedged, I will continue to defend Obama against baseless vitriol.

And where Congress doesn't want a thing, doesn't make threats or do that magical "strong arming" whatever that is.

15. Mathews sees himself as much brighter than he is.
That Mathews "I love me and I'm such a great interviewer" commercial he does for himself is hilarious. He is one of the worst, just has the biggest ego.
