Wisconsin: Feingold Draws Third GOP Challenger
Wisconsin businessman Dick Leinenkugel (R) went to Janesville, the home town of incumbent Russ Feingold (D), to launch his campaign for the GOP Senate nomination.

"I'm here to announce my plans to replace Russ Feingold as the next senator in this great state of Wisconsin," Leinenkugel, a former brewing company executive, said Monday.

Leinenkugel suggested that his candidacy could help the Republicans win back control of the Senate, which Democrats control 59-41.

"Conservatives need 10 seats to return control to the Republicans and to change Washington," he said. "It's time to put Wisconsin in play."

1. Unless this guy learns a lot real fast, I don't think Russ has to
worry about HIM! Just watch his youtube video and you'll see what I mean.

2. Feingold's still favored
Nate Silver, for example, gives Feingold 80+% chance of winning, even though it's kinda early to predict too accurately -- http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2010/04/senate-forecast-update-little-chance-of.html

But then again this is Wisconsin, and Leinenkugel if he's nominated will get some votes because "Leinenkugel! That's a beer! hyuk hyuk hyuk".

My people. Gotta love 'em.

3. I really wish Wisconsin had their primary in the spring instead of September.
After living in Indiana for over 20 years I think Wisconsin's election cycle is screwed up.
