The ridicule that can be heaped upon Republicans who even acknowledge the Birther stances with a wink and a nod all the while claiming they "believe the president was born in Hawaii" is pure political gold. The stink of Birtherism pervades the entire GOP and nothing they do will ever get it off.
So where does it all lead?
As the GOP primary season starts to ramp up, which begins on November 3 this year, the teabaggers have already done their damage. Each candidate will have to do whatever they can to out wingnut the others in order to appeal to the nuttiest of the nutty.
And as the campaign gets closer and closer to pure squirrel poo, the path is clear.
That way lies Birtherism.
If Obama is smart, he'll just keep feeding the rope to the GOP because the natural course for them after that is to shoot each other in the face.
Eventually, they'll all have to go Birther, or at least all of them that stand any chance of appeasing the nutballs enough to be their nominee.
And then, there will be a press conference announced in Hawaii. It will be announced that Barack Obanma signed documents to allow the release of the documentation surrounding his birth to the press.
And the head of the Hawaii Department of Health will show the document to the press.
And the GOP will have damned themselves for the idiots they are because the Birthers will still not be satisfied and the center will see clearly just how fucking insane the right wing really is.
