Pakistan and Afghanistan share what can be called a border only in theory. Only this time they will be sitting across and within the borders of a very weakened nuclear power which they have already been successfully attacking. And if Al Qaeda or any other anti-American and anti-Indian extremist force gets their mitts on nuclear warheads, well, that would be bad.

I have lurked this place for several years.

What is my crime? I bitched about the speech, I did not bitch about the man. I love you guys all hitting the alert button at the same time. I happen to find the president incredibly charasmatic, intelligent and an awesome replacement over the previous embarassment. I voted for him and was more than happy when January rolled around and I could salute the flag and not be embarassed. Believe what you want about me, I leave my fate in the hands of the mods who I know to be fair.

However, I disagree with him on the escalation in Afghanistan and I will never change that view. I also know that disagreement is not a bannable offense. I have been polite, no name calling and no acting like as ass.

My critics on the other hand have not been so polite. Again I attacked the speech, not the man, you all are attacking the man for not liking the speech. It's sad in a way.

Factually I do not think it made the case. The 9/11 citation was a definite loser from the Bush era.

Obama's angry demeanor did not make up for what the speech lacked.
