5K is only a smidgen over THREE MILES. It really is walkable in 40 minutes, given a quite fast-paced walk.

I WALK 4 K in 30 minutes. almost daily.

..and that's my point. At 40 minutes, she still wasn't finshed. I'm hoping she stopped a lot along the way to thank people, take pictures, etc because dropping out of a 5K after 40 minutes isn't something I'd want to advertise.
