Thread For DUers Who Oppose Afghanistan Troop Increase, But Still Generally Support Obama

Though you and I disagree on this issue specifically regarding Obama's policy with Afghanistan, I can still greatly respect you because you are politically mature enough to not allow a single issue destroy your support for our Democratic President in the general sense.

We can oppose our elected Democrats on specific issues and still support them generally.

... and oppose the planned troop increase.

Although I have been disappointed at times by the positions Obama has taken on certain issues, I still support his presidency wholeheartedly.

I have no doubt that he made this decision after much thought, consideration and soul-searching - and believes he is doing the right thing.

Personally, I believe it was the wrong decision.

For the sake of our troops and the Afghan people, I hope I am the one who is proven wrong in the end.
