Right Wing Blogs Attack Obama For Eating Ice Cream At The "Wrong" Shop In Maine
Edited on Wed Jul-21-10 01:13 PM by RBInMaine
This just takes the cake. Check it out.

http://www.therightperspective.org/2010/07/17/obama-visits-black-power-ice-cream/>

The beauty though is that the people who own this shop will probably now have their best season ever. It is in the local news up here, and people are coming out in heavy support of the ice cream store. It's personally interesting because it is right in the same neighborhood where I grew up. It was started a few years ago, and the owners make it fresh daily using natural ingredients. People love it. I'll be getting some next week! * The reason why they stopped there, no doubt, was because it is out of the busy downtown area so parking would be easy, and it is a small entrepreneurship locally owned small business with GREAT ice cream so everyone says. Also, he had vanilla. Note that the right wingers didn't complain about the color of the ice cream he chose. Guess they were at least ok with that.

This is just one more example of the racist, low, cesspool level that the right wing sinks to, and especially one more reason to come out and vote like hell to defeat RePUKES in November. These are the scum who support that sickening party.

3. This is stoooooopid!!
I love how the right is always accusing Obama, his administration and those that supported/voted for him of racism. Yet it's them that screams racism over everything.

They say Obama has set race relations back, I guess it never dawned on them to stop looking for racism (projecting how they feel)at every turn.

Every day/night right wing radio/tv brings up race in some fashion, then plays the victim.

It's disgusting.

Seems they're the ones that need to move on, not the left as they like to claim.

4. I'm surprised none of them noted the symbolism of a black man eating white (vanilla) ice cream
I mean, that's Obama's code to the Panthers that he wants to eliminate white people, right?

:sarcasm:

7. So so stupid.
It is just icecream! How nefarious!

And a useless fact: Did you know that New Englanders consume more ice cream then any other section of the country? We sure like our dairy desserts I guess. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_England

9. BREAKING...Howard Stern Believed to Secretly Belong to Racist "Black Power" Group!
Just look at his logo!!

It's OBVIOUS that Howard belongs to a secret racist Black Power group!!!!

Either that or, the people at the ice cream store just like listening to Howard, or Howard really likes their ice cream, or Howard secretly owns their store, or...my head hurts.

11. here's my comment
A tinfoil hat doesn’t cost much, and it might block out those alien thought waves that are making all the teabaggers paranoid and delusional. You do realize this post is all over the internet and is being laughed at. Keep up the good work, comrades.

It says my comment is "under moderation" so I doubt it ever sees the light of day.

13. The fourth comment just....shit....
Now South Africa is in the hands of the communists. Only a few million whites are left, and each day is a struggle to survive. Our names changed, and we are now even called, “Afrikans”. The Boerevolk of South Africa, will stand up!

Wishing the conservatives of “Amerika”, the best of luck

I'm surprised he didn't throw a few "kaffir"s in there as well.

21. Desperate doesn't even begin to describe this crap.
From one of the posters:

"Just for the record, I’m not an Obama fan, I’m a Mt. Desert Ice Cream fan! Proud Republican here! Just wish the other Republicans on here would worry more about the important issues in the world than the fact that Obama ate ice cream at an establishment that has a “creative” advertising sign! Yay for the owner, look at all the free advertising she’s getting."

Despite that nugget of common sense, idiots are falling for this! My head hurts.

23. Stories like this just prove that part of the rightwing's motivation is racism towards Obama
Seriously, the right wing has been fueling itself by racism since Obama won the election, I mean all the heavily edited videos to slander groups that help minorities (especially blacks), all the racist signs, the fake intimidation by 'black panthers' without a single witness saying they were intimidated.

27. Rachel had it right last night
Today's racism is about aggrieved, right-wing whites feeling victimized and afraid that minorities will take away their: jobs, money, rights, etc., blah, blah. All of these controversies are used by the right wing media and politicians to fuel that fear of having things taken away by the looming minority "thugs". Feeding this manufactured sense of victimhood then makes people angry and ready to fight for the right-wing politicians who will save them.
