1. Webb used to be a republican
Edited on Fri Dec-04-09 06:08 PM by MiniMe
He was Reagan's secretary of the navy, and he lives in a relatively conservative state. We love him because of his stance on Iraq, but he is very conservative. Thank God he beat George "macaca" Allen, barely, or he may have been the repub candidate in 2008.

edited to add that I am talking about Webb.

voting for conservative amendments that have no chance of passing so he gets to claim it on campaign lit. If he were opposed then vote against the preventive measures too. As far I know Webb supports a PO, but isn't gung ho about it.

6. VA went big time red in Nov...
He saw McDonnell win by 18 points over Deeds, and the GOP get a clean sweep of the top 3 offices. The GOP picked up a handful of delegates too.

Webb is a politician first and foremost, and he has his finger to the wind just like so many of the rest of them.
