WASHINGTON - AUGUST 1: U.S. President Barack Obama, his daughter Sasha, an unidentified friend and Shelia Johnson, owner of the Washington Mystics, watch as the Tulsa Shock play against the Mystics on August 1, 2010 in Washington, DC.

Report: The crowd at the arena roared when the scoreboard showed the president’s arrival. Obama chatted during the game with Mystics owner Ted Leonsis and team president Sheila Johnson.

Obama and his party left the arena a few minutes before the end of the game, which the Mystics won, 87-62.

After the game, Mystics player Marissa Coleman told reporters: “The only two times I’ve noticed who was courtside was when LeBron (James) was here, and obviously today. And today’s was even worse. It’s just kind of a surreal thing to look over and see the President of the United States sitting courtside.”

3. GREAT for our Prez & Sasha. I wonder what the secret service did before he arrived?
I keep hearing about how they secure areas before the Prez goes somewhere, and I have to wonder what they had to do to secure somewhere like a public basketball game. He's coming to Ga. tomorrow morning for a fund raiser, and they even had on the ews tonight that some roads will be closed, and I know from past experience that the Atlanta airport is closed to take offs & landings while AF1 is preparing to land or leave.

I don't resent the SS at all. They have a very difficult job and it's even tougher with Obama, but it does make me wonder how they handle all those fans at a game.
