Dear President Obama, just do what you feel is right but you need
to rescind DADT and you face a boatload of shit but you need to adhere to your promises during your campaign. That is why Dems supported you.

You promised the world that you would be change, but where is the change? We are still hoping?

Why are you not closing Gitmo, why are you escalating troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. You are not keeping your promises that you campaigned on!

I am so disappointed!

Bring the troops home Mr. President!

1. And the thing is, neither keeping Gitmo open, NOR escalation in Afghanistan
(nor continuing our presence in Iraq through this late date) NOR leaving DOMA alone have gained the admin any support.

No one out there in the public-at-large was demanding that the admin do ANY of the above.

It was just a few arrogant blowhards in the Beltway.

11. And business is refusing to hire people BEFORE the election
They want the jobless figures as high as possible in order to help the 'Pugs(never mind that the 'Pugs will do nothing to put anyone to work).

This isn't so much a recession as it is a capital strike, and our party needs to label it as such and denounce it as such all the way to November.

12. Actually thats partly wrong since they controll the wallet(of sorts)
If they don't want to allocate the money needed to close gitmo and the related expenses, its very little he can do to actually close it.

2. Republicans are making it difficult for him to carry out his agenda
If Obama was the President of Sweden he might have a chance. America is nothing but a large corporation which adopts right wing thugs (politicians). It sometimes allows Democrats to be president at its descretion.

5. That is what a lot of Americans is not understanding, the President
cannot pass laws, but a lot of dems are against progressive ideas and they vote against the President.

I wish they people in those states will vote in people who represent them!

8. You know what my queer and transgender ass cares about a lot more than DADT? ENDA.
The Employment Non-Discrimination Act would make a bigger difference for more queer and transgender Americans than DADT or gay marriage ever could, and yet ENDA continually gets sidelined. Nancy Pelosi promised ENDA activists she'd act on it, and she's violated her deadline again.

ENDA would provide a blanket non-discrimination act for the entire country, making it a felony for employers to discriminate on the basis of sexuality or gender identity, and requiring reasonable accommodations for transgender people - bathroom use and gender-appropriate uniforms, that sort of thing. It is so important precisely because it would cover areas where local anti-discrimination laws protecting sexuality and gender identity could never get passed.

Transgender people in particular routinely get fired for being transgender. It is a standard part of the trans experience to lose one's job upon starting transition, precisely when one needs the money and the support the most.

This is far from the only step needed - laws against housing discrimination are important as well, for example - but it's a big deal, and I feel that it's much more important than gay marriage or repealing DADT, both of which effect only a small portion of the overall LGBTQ community.
