Newt Gingrich had 80 ethics charges against him and all were dismissed ad no one called him to step down.Governor Stanford of SC is still Governor and no one now is calling for him to step down.

9. Well, I disagree with that

Rangel, Waters, and everybody else is entitled to due process and shouldn't resign IMHO unless they feel that it is necessary/the right thing to do. I like to think that we hold our officials to a higher standard than the Republicans but I also believe that everybody is entitled to due process before being declared guilty. The recent tendency of some members of our party to jump to conclusions about somebody's misconduct without a thorough examination of the facts (especially when those "facts" are provided and promoted courtesy of Fox News, Breitbart, et. al) is certainly troubling, however.

Newt Gingrich was officially reprimanded by a vote of 395 to 28, had to pay a $300,000 fine, and was facing open rebellion by the Republican caucus when he resigned his seat.

But Gingrich was facing very strong pressure from his own party to resign or be replaced from within. It's simply a fantasy to say that nobody called for his resignation.

But I highly doubt Rangel or Waters will be expelled either. Expulsion is extremely rare. If they are determined to be guilty, they will most likely face an official reprimand the same as Gingrich got.

no one has pushed him to leave. And the worst "rat" of all Isaa who has multiple illegal acts. AND he is not even being investigated. Look at Cheney who gave his company Halliburton no bid contracts. Then he profited by receiving dividends in the millions with his shares. Which by the way he refused to divest himself of when he became VP. And if you went down the line you would find numerous violations from republicans still spewing and still serving.

Remember the doping scandals in baseball? No one in their right mind thinks that it's only a few players who were involved.
