All these "wins" have to be fixed, and it will take the left 10 years to straighten them all out. Single payer is inevitable and we can only hope the democrats are in a position to pass such "unworkable leftist" ideas when the time comes, otherwise we'll get the GOP version including whatever mandates they can dream up, not to mention their version of cadillac taxes. The definition of unemployment has remained the same for a few decades. It isn't the same measure used back during the Depression, but we aren't the same country anymore either.

as high a pedestal as the obama supporters here had him on, it was only half as high as the one the progressives had him on before they yanked it out from under him.

a little pragmatism is in order. he can either be all principled and be about as effective as kucinich, or he can compromise and get shit done. you can argue with me until you're blue in the face about the effectiveness of what he has accomplished so far, but you can't make nothing look better than something.
