Under the Bus and Inside the Bus
The term ‘throwing someone under the bus’ is used here many times and frankly, too many times for my taste of overused phrases. It basically means when one is thrown under the bus, they are made the scapegoat or blamed for something that wasn't their responsibility in the first place and used as a distraction or cover-up for anothers mistakes. Obama has been accused of hurling scores of people under fleets of buses.
Which itself is interesting, if he was successfully scapegoating others to make personal gain, he would be basking in a kind sun with a hero’s cape and not the object of such scorn and disrespect by a certain select and very loud few from the democratic camp that would like the rest of us think they are multiplying like tribbles, when in fact, they are not. All these ill gotten gains would have been achieved at the expense of the Underbus People. But wait, seeing as it’s not working, Obama is tossing these people under the bus in full view of all witnesses – but still hoping to somehow coverup his weaknesses and blame it on others? I don’t get it either.
The bus we should be thinking of is the one that Obama took over as driver for in January of 2008. A bus with more than 300 million people uncertain of their future after being under the rule of a President that has shamed the entire country with his folly and idiotcy and criminal behaviour.
So when Obama gets his keys, he finds out that the bus is in far worse shape than he had imagined. He always knew it would be difficult to get it roadworthy but someone had actually tampered with the safety features of the vehicle. He is driving as best and fast as he can to get to his destination, under harsher circumstances than he had anticipated in the midst of a cacophony of yelling passengers, map readers that think they know a better route, impatient passengers and ones that just sat there and complained about the décor of the bus and had given up before the first mile was reached.
The opposition did everything they could to delay his trip. They blocked roads with broken down GOPbuses, they made up lies that the media kept repeating over and over, they slashed tires and did whatever they could to hinder progress during each hard mile of the journey. Some of Obama’s own people began believing the lies and started to question him in the same tone as the people who left them this broken down bus.
‘’President Obama! Why don’t you show us all how angry you are about all this! Show them some Road Rage! Pound your fists, do something! Why aren’t we there yet? When will we get there? Obama, you let us down, you are driving too slow, you are driving too fast and being reckless. Obama you lied to us, you didn’t say we would have to take detours. Obama you are dishonest, your campaign promise #25 took you 4 days longer than you said! Obama I’m not voting for you I am going to sit you out!. Obama, your wife shouldn’t go on vacations with sleeveless blouses. Obama you should not take any vacations at all and if you do be sure to set up a poll so we can decide where you go and when and for how long. ‘’
So the noise continued to a fevered pitch and the bus windows were rattling and some of the people were all riled up and threatening to threaten, something. But most of the people were smiling and appreciated their driver and trusted he was the best person to get them to safety. The loud ones made it sound otherwise, but quiet doesn’t make noise.
And Obama remained calm and steady at the wheel and stayed concentrated on the road.
He knew it would be like this.
