Too funny...that comment sneaked up on me.
I keep waiting to hear the announcer..."Let's get ready to R-U-M-B-L-E. ------------------------- I wish he had tried it with those pharmaceutical companies, too.

4. Dino Rossi is running against Patti Murry |
|
That guy is the slimiest of slime in WA. I can't believe people don't appreciate what Patti Murry has done for the state of WA.
Do you know what Rossi slant is? Basically Patti Murry isn't fiscally conservative enough she has pork barrel deals ini bills....yet those deals mean billions for the state of WA.
I am glad President Obama came to town....damn news media had a right slant on their reporting.

10. One of the news stations covering his visit showed how we voted for Pres, and |
|
pretty near half the damn state showed Red. I've always thought we were liberal through and through but that's probably because I'm on the Left side of the Cascades!
Rossi is a fucking pig. I will be SO disgusted if he wins in November -- same if Fiorina bumps Boxer out.
Did you hear the booms??

side! Thought about driving over today to try to get a peek, but thought I'd just hold out for a public event on the way to his 2012 win!

5. Air Force One flew right over my house when he left! |
|
That's as close to President Obama I'm ever going to get!
And when I heard the sonic booms, I thought my neighbor ran the yard waste can into the side of my house, twice!

9. I heard and felt the sonic booms but they were pretty faint. I was surprised they |
|
said they went supersonic heading into Seattle and I'm at the north end of the Lake - Kenmore. I heard a low boom and felt a slight vibration of the house twice, but couldn't figure out what it was -- not like any sonic booms I'd heard before but I'm guessing it was the distance.
Apparently the SS made the plane land at Kenmore Air here (I can see it from my living room window) but I didn't know that until I read on the Seattle Times site later.
I ALSO read en route to Glaser's house they drove through the Arboretum and people were lining the route. I would have loved to have been there -- or at Boeing Field.
That must have been a thrill to have it fly over! When I was taking flying lessons at Boeing Field in 1970 and walked out the back door of my flight school and across the runway there was a gorgeous 707 with United States of America on it. It was so humbling and I felt so patriotic even though it was for Nixon. :7

22. And I wonder if they continued over Madison and took that curvy road down to |
|
Lake Washington Boulevard via Denny Blaine. That would have been gorgeous but might have been tricky with all those vehicles.

26. There's no way they could have secured the Arboretum. |
|
I pretty sure they shot straight up Madison to the lake. I'm still working on finding out where on "Lake Washington Blvd." the private fund-raiser was!

7. They were private fundraisers I think. He first met with small business owners |
|
at a bakery in Pioneer Square (just a few of them), then wen to the Westin Hotel for a fundraiser, then to another at Robert Glaser's (creator of RealNetworks) home on Lake Washington. They DID show his speech at the Westin -- he was in great form. You might try the local news links:
