You know the type: they voted for and supported Bush in lockstep and called us traitors and worse if we disagreed with them yet now say they can't stand him or Obama or anyone (but will still vote for a Republican of course); they repeat the words of the rightwing smear machine while saying they hate Rush or FOX; they think the media is liberal and Maddow is an elitist but ignore the actual message she makes; they show concern for the 9/11 families yet drag salt through their wounds every time they want to gin up some election support. The list goes on.
I don't mind actual Centrists, even if I disagree with them. It's the ashamed Republicans who publicly claim to be Libertarians and shout that "politicians are all the same!" yet will still vote for a continuation of rightwing policies which have been proven very wrong time and time again.
They will talk of standing up to die for the right to free speech and religion but will castigate others who fight for their own same rights simply because they are different, and will claim it's for some other reason.
