Where is the White House on the rethugs Investigations

There to silent.Lenny Davis is on Big Ed show saying what the White house should be saying and doing on this issue because he went through the same BULLSHIT with Clinton.I don't care for Davis but he made some very good points.

1. If they do not attack this threat with a strong ad campaign along the lines of...

"remember how the GOP hounded President Clinton over his personal life - want to go back to that?"

we will know that they have no real interest in winning.

2. Obama doesn't want to go that route. He wants to move forward.

And by moving forward, he's going to allow the GOP to pull their same old crap again.

Investigations are always bad and a waste of taxpayer money when Democrats do them, but not when the shoe is on the other foot.

4. Dude. There hasn't even been a fucking election yet.

Why in the hell would the White House cook up drama about a hypothetical situation that isn't even a certainty? First, Republicans have to actually win control of something. Then they don't even get a chance to do anything until the next Congress begins.

Does anyone actually think that "don't vote for them, they might harass us with frivilous investigations" is gonna win us or keep us any seats? I agree that the WH better be prepared to do some fighting if the Republicans get any measure of power back, but its way too early to talk about that now and its not going to strengthen the 2010 election strategy.

Jesus Christ, at DU, this White House is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't. If they HAD commented, people would be criticizing the President for jumping whenever the GOP snaps its fingers. You don't comment on blind threats from insane Congressmen.

especially when the repubs have shown themselves as more than capable of following through on said threats. i'm with you. just best to let it happen and see how things play out. of course, by then it will be too late, but it's all about keeping that precious powder dry, right?

There is no response for this other than "Bring it on you fuckknuckles" and Obama can't say that. All he can do is work for Democratic House candidates and hope that voters turn out this fall.

But the White House shouldn't let threats from the House GOP dissuade them from doing any governing.
