Obama says he ignored Beck rally
Good for President Obama.. beck's rally Suck!!
:kick: :fistbump:

President Obama chuckles when Brian Williams asks him about polls that show may Americans still believe he is a Muslim. He says he doesn't pay much attention to those polls, because "I can't spend all my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead."
"I don't think the American people want me to spend all my time on it," he says.
Obama is clearly intent on casting himself as above the political fray, saying American politics is in its "silly season." For example, he swears he didn't watch any of Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally on the National Mall yesterday and says he doesn't find it surprising that "a Glenn Beck can stir up some of the people."
"I'm making decisions that are not necessarily good for the nightly news and not good for the next election, but for the next generations," he says.

9. Some dwell in really strange rabbit holes.
From which they only see through a tiny peephole...oblivious to the rest of the world. It's rather sad, really.

22. Well........
Perhaps if you'd start posting some truth we'd be able to determine whether or not it's hateful. All you post is slams against Obama and that's been an on going thing for you since the primaries. Truth is hateful? Nah, what's hateful is your utter disgust for all things Obama.

6. Yep, good for the President
We sure had a lot of people here who seemed obsessed with it. It's a non-event, and I'm glad the President had the sense to treat it that way. Mentioning it would simply have extended it for another news cycle.

10. Hopefully BHO knows absolutely no RW decision, nary a one, is good for the next
generation: the proof is in the mountain of RW decisions since the early days of the gipper which have brought us wholly irresponsible fiscal policies, wholly unfair tax policies, perpetual pre-emptive wars, mindless deregulation, a shameless laizze-faire approach to government, unbridled greed, massive fraud, massive environmental destruction in the Gulf, a wrecked housing market, and a wrecked economy and jobs market, all the result of RW decisions. :P

13. I've read here at DU how the attendees were dissatisfied with Beck's message
Maybe the administration should have paid attention and then used that knowledge to their advantage. Seems like a lost opportunity.

25. So did I, pretty much - just was curious how many REALLY attended...
I knew in advance it would be meaningless bullshit, and I have seen enough of that to last a long time.

I note a lot fewer articles on it in the news today - I think it's mostly over except in the minds of Mr. Beck and his dwindling number of
"Friends"...
