Third-party gubernatorial hopeful Tom Tancredo on Tuesday cemented himself as the far-right candidate, picking former state legislator Pat Miller — an abortion foe and a staunch Second Amendment defender — as his new running mate.
"Her consistent conservatism has been known for 25 years, and her views on fiscal policy and social policy are the same as my own," said Tancredo, now an American Constitution Party candidate. "If she had to, she could step into my shoes without a glitch."
The move could distance Tancredo from Republican nominee Dan Maes, whose running mate, former state lawmaker Tambor Williams, is considered a moderate. Conservatives have criticized Williams for her votes on guns, abortion rights
