Malloy gets his $6 million, while Foley to resume TV ads
http://www.ctmirror.org/story/7459/malloy-gets-his-6-million-while-foley-resume-tv-ads

Democrat Dan Malloy had the biggest fundraising day in Connecticut history Tuesday as he collected $6 million in public financing for his campaign for governor.

But it is Republican Tom Foley who is poised to ramp up spending with a resumption of television advertising this week, an effort to close Malloy's double-digit lead in the latest poll.

Foley, a wealthy businessman who loaned his campaign $3 million before the Aug. 10 primary, reported having only $32,587 cash on hand in his pre-primary disclosure.

"I don't think anybody now can say Dan Malloy is at a spending disadvantage," Foley said. "I hope that is taken off the table once and for all. He has plenty of money."

1. And Malloy needs every dime against that creep Foley.
Foley is unbelievably ugly and nauseating. We have the WORST group of Republicans since they ran child molestor Sam Giordano for U.S. Senate against Lieberman back in the day...thank god Sam is in the slammer for a good long time so they can't run him again...

2. I remember Giordano, how could one forget? Foley is a total creep.
Another one in a long line of corrupt Rethug CT politicians.

3. You'll be delighted to know that Foley wears presidential cufflinks...
he was Bush's ambassador to Ireland, ya know. I found this out in a recent article in the New Haven Independent...a reporter did a story on him and Foley was wearing them...doesn't that make you want to throw up?

4. Foley has a big head. I think Malloy will beat him, the numbers favor the Dem in the governor race
simply because we have had Repubs in the Gov. Mansion for so long (twentysomething years, before I could vote).

5. It was Phil Giordano. I remember having the choice of voting for
LIEberman or Giordano. I think Phil was the only person that would make LIEberman look like a good choice.
