2. She couldn't make up the deficit
Absentee votes in places that were supposed to be favorable to her didn't pan out.

3. The recount numbers were looking grim for her.
Looks like she is done - no write-in, no third-party run. Good news for us. It's McAdams versus Nutbaggy Miller.

6. How is this good news for us?
Miller is a massive favorite to win, and instead of an almost sane Republican we are going to have a fanatic in the Senate from Alaska who will probably be nearly impossible to ever defeat.

This is not a seat we were going to win either way. I'd rather have Murkowski in that seat than Miller.

8. We have a major chance for an upset
Scott McAdams is a great candidate, who is a small-town mayor, and unlike Palin is smart and progressive. He hasn't ran a single ad yet and is only down 8 in a head-to-head against Miller. I believe Miller will be another Angle, as the more he talks and the crazier stuff he says, the more support he will lose. Democrats should take this seriously as its now one of our best hopes.

9. Sorry, I disagree.
McAdams had zero chance against Murkowski. He's within single digits of Miller. There are heaps of bad blood between the Murkowski and Miller camps. She may not even endorse him. The PPP poll also showed that McAdams fared worse in a three-way contest than in a two-way contest.

In the end, I guess Murkowski would be very slightly better than Miller. But I'll roll the dice in the hopes that the Dems can steal one here.

17. You are forgetting the most important fact
Murkowski name is legend in Alaska. I was in Alaska last week visiting
Juneau & Skagway. I saw Lisa Murkowski posters everywhere. Never saw any
prominent Miller posters. This Miller dude was unknown quantity 3 months ago.

So it is logical why Murkowski polled much higher than another small town
mayor, McAdams. Even if we don't like, Miller is now the favorite to win in Nov.

Let's see if we can get her to bloody him a little more before the General Election.

5. I didn't hear the word "endorse" in that statement
And if the media does not hear that word they will ask a lot of questions and do endless stories about how bitterly divided their party is.

At least that's how it works on our side.

10. Sweet! It's ON now. Democrats can win this seat.
Scott McAdams is the Democrat, and if Lisa Murkowski goes third-party or independent, we could have a new Democratic Senator from Alaska.

This guy might win in a three-way race: http://www.scottmcadams.org/

11. Can't root for either Miller or Murkowski to have
won this primary, but I'll root for a Democratic win in November.

Miller would be unfortunate as a U.S. Senator, not to say disastrous.

13. The 3rd GOP incumbent Senator to lose during this cycle.
Anyone who thinks this may be a message to Dems ONLY is smoking something.

20. No kidding!
Don't you love how the media just jabbers on and on about how Dems are looking at a disaster? Wish they'd do their jobs, connect the dots and talk about how incumbents - including Republicans - are in trouble. But no, that would be too haaaarrrrrdddd!

14. "Lisa, Lisa, Sad Lisa, Lisa..."
Hi, jefferson_dem.

You bring us a major headline from way west up there with the moose and the beer halls.

Here's hoping that Miller puts both his feet in his mouth early on and often and that Scott McAdams can win one up there. The more progressives we have in the Senate the better we all are.

Recommended.

18. This gives a chance to the Democrats in AK, but there is no question she would have been better than
Miller. Except for oil issues (and I doubt Miller will be better on that), she was one of the few Republicans who are ready to work with Democrats.
