1. So, isn't Obama supposed to be on vacation when hurricanes hit?
Doesn't he have a birthday party to go to in California or something? Brush to cut? He can do a fly by when it's over, that's what Preszidentin' is all about, just ask Dubya.

2. I will agree, but with this caveat
If it hits Georgia and South Carolina, they can fend for themselves without the mean old big Socialist federal government.

I for one, am fed up with subsidizing these ungrateful people in the Red states only to have them continue to bitch about big government.

7. well this ungrateful person
phone banked 30 hours a week for a month, registered new voters and drove over 80 miles one way to get an Obama voter to the polls.
I used to live in Orange County, California before our move to Ga four years ago and found quite a few living there that bitched continuously about big government.

So stop with the broad brush.

19. Thanks for this.
I was going to reply but I wouldn't have been nearly so nice. It would have involved lots of swearing and possibly getting banned.

5. he must have a real private office somewhere.
That desk looks too neat. The bookshelves are too decorative. It's a ceremonial office, a place for photo-ops and addresses to the nation.
I'd like to see a photo of his real office, the one where reports are piled on the desk and floor, pens scattered around the desk, books left open, one or two computer screens, a tv set, coffee mugs, houseplants, and Bo's rawhide bone on the floor. :)

There's one thing that's out-of-place in the Oval Office, tho' ... that telephone. It has way too many buttons! :D

6. "real offices" are here....
off of the Oval....

Here's Johnson in the same room (check out the "Womb" chair)

Incidentally, this is the same room where Bill and Monica ..... ya know.

... and the other real office is upstairs in the residence....

He's mentioned it several times, "I've got this neat office upstairs."

Kennedy in the same room....

It's known as The Treaty Room because it's where the treaty ending the Spanish American war was signed.

You can see the famous painting depicting it here...

10. glad to see they are on top of it and re: the far bookcase in the pic.

the one with blue books on the bottom shelves and the gold on top.

the whole thing looks staged, anal.

somebody please go and rearrange things to give it some life.

15. What's the rush? I thought he was supposed to wait until
homes were destroyed, cities were flooded and people were dead before getting FEMA involved.

:sarcasm:

Actually, FEMA did an outstanding job handling the massive flooding in Tennessee. Even the Republican Tenneseeans praised their efforts. It's amazing what a competent President can accomplish. I have no doubt they'll be Johnny-on-the-spot if/when Earl hits.
