Frank: GOP thinks Obama inauguration ranks with 9/11 as national tragedy
By Jordan Fabian - 09/02/10 03:38 PM ET

Democrat mocks Republicans at California event, saying party has suffered from "massive amnesia" since Obama was sworn in.

Republicans act as if President Obama's inauguration ranks with Pearl Harbor and 9/11 as a national tragedy, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said this week.

"Now here is what apparently happened on Jan. 21, 2009 {sic}, if you listen to the Republicans: It was, after Pearl Harbor Day or 9/11 of 2001, the worst day in American history," Frank said at a local Democratic Party event in California last weekend.

Frank said that Republicans have forgotten that problems such as unemployment, war, large deficits and the credit crisis began under Bush, not Obama.

"All of these bad things, according to them, happened the day Barack Obama took office," he said. "{Since then}, a little-known, widespread outbreak of disease {occurred}: Massive amnesia took hold of the entire Republican Party."

4. It does with their revisionist history.
Just listen to them if you don't think so. What's a fact anyway?

7. I know they do. They characteristicly exhibit a lack of respect and denial of
documented, historical events.

Quite an interesting phenomena. Perhaps that is why rethuglicons keep repeating the same behaviors when they actually get elected.

5. So that means that an over whelming number of Americans
are terrorists. Remember, the American people voted for him and put him in office. So if it was a terrorist act, we are ALL RESPONSIBLE. Gee are they going to round up ALL of us and put us in Gitmo.

9. Nope, even better...
They'll let the Wall Street Banks rob us blind and call it a day. Oh wait, they already did that and now are looking to do the same with Social Security. Oh that right, its already robbed and they are now looking for an excuse not to pay it back. But this time they have the Democrats (and the WH) considering it too.

6. On Limbaugh show this morning (during Hartmann break): "...no question that Obama is
the most radical, extreme leftist in american history..."

That's the starting point. That's the foundation on which the OP is based, and on which lies, hearings, investigations, subpoenas, and impeachment will be based. Once you buy that POTUS is a radical enemy, the ends justify the means.

That meme is repeated daily and repeatedly on 90% of talk radio (9 of 10 talk radio hours are conservative). I heard this while traveling in the CA central valley a couple of weeks ago. Guys you never heard of and well known pundits and religious leaders were hammering on Obama and the dems 24/7.
