Poll question: Tinfoil hat: Are the polls showing neck & neck races a set up for machine vote flipping?
If the public perceives so many races so close (via corporate media polling), doesn't that make flipped election results more plausible?

Are we being set up again?

4. Actually, the polls leading up to 2008 turned out to be very, very accurate

The consensus was a 7-point Obama win. It was a 7-point Obama win.

5. Generally, the strategy is to only steal an election if it's close.
Keeps the narrative at least semi-plausible.

When the spread is less than 3-4%, that's when we start seeing 2000/2004-style shenanigans.

3. Except that polls run by Democratic outfits are showing the same kinds of numbers
...

Unless you think they're in on it too.

7. Where's the "are you insane?" choice?
Unrec and hide - this sort of post is not useful and definitely doesn't belong in this forum.

8. The fact that there's no way to answer that question is a major part of the USA's problem

9. I still can't believe we haven't really addressed this.

I mean, would any politician say in public they DON'T want to be fairly elected???

I don't understand the politics of this. Who would oppose this PUBLICLY?

So why don't they DO SOMETHING and map out a better way of doing this, starting with talking with the hundreds of very qualified people who are devoting time to fixing the system and/or proposing a better way.

This is yet another reason why so many people are as dissatisfied with gov't as they are with big business. Here's something that everyone wants, really wouldn't cost that much, would benefit everyone, yet NOTHING IS BEING *DONE*.

10. I have believed from the get go that the polls are lying
they want people to believe republicans are winning. That is why the media is spewing over and over republicans will win. They know they have most of the voting machines programmed for a republican win. They think by telling us this over and over when they do steal the elections, like Bush did in OHIO, that we will think it is legitimate. I will never believe that any republican wins legally until it is proved.

12. I have a strong suspicion that this is exactly what happened in the SC Dem primaries
Alvin Greene's opponent, Vick Rawls, got around 6070% of the absentee ballot vote in every precinct, yet he lost by that much in the main election. We have paperless, electronic voting machines here. Our state government is run by republicans. Jim DeMint's popularity has been declining. The whole thing reeks.

13. I believe so because the M$M isn't telling us that while Americans may be angry at Dems
they also loathe Republicans!! If it's close, they can steal it!

15. Probably. More dems need to volunteer at the election sites to make sure everything is fair.
