21. I've been thinking the same thing for a while.

Polls taken three months before an election mean almost nothing. If they did then Hillary would have had an easy path to the Democratic nomination. Obama will campaign more during the next two months and turn the tide in key states.

7. I'm not surprised- every time I start to worry about the poll numbers...

Remember ups and downs during the campaign - there were some pretty big dips and disaster periods during those months. Think of Rev. Wright. The media did its best to bring him down. And-- in spite of it all- Obama not only won, but he beat the Clinton machine. He stayed focused- made a few mis-steps at times, trusting some not so wise advisers-- but he pulled through. He's going to do the same with the mid-terms. This election is too important for getting his-- and OUR agenda passed. If we loose the house and or the Senate, we'll be stuck in a gridlock for the next 2 years-- and buried in bullshit investigations they will launch to further impede any progress. Way too much at stake here.

But that's not to say it's going to be easy- and we ALL need to help out and get involved and make sure that everyone we know votes. We need turnout- even if people aren't thrilled with the Democratic candidate-- not a time to be complacent.

Thats a pretty significant jump and gives him a very decent lead compared to almost president of the past 30 years at this point in their first term. I really hope this sticks.
