Indianapolis - Immigration is one of the most contentious political issues in America, and it is turning into a major issue in the race for United States Senate in Indiana.
Illegal immigration is a hot button issue not only on the front line in the state of Arizona but right here in Indiana.
"There is only one person in this race and that is former Senator Dan Coats who voted to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants," said Brad Ellsworth (D-IN)
Senate candidate and Congressman Brad Ellsworth chided his Republican opponent for saying he was against illegal immigration while voting for amnesty in 1984.
"I will never vote to wave that wand and grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. People should come here and do it the right way by the path laid out in the rules," said Ellsworth.

It is sad that it was Ellsworth who played the immigration card first.
