They will get the same break on the first 250,000 of their income.. that everyone 250,000 and below will get

That is only if.....


Bohener and company agree to it and will pass a law that lets those making 250,000 a year or less.. (that is about 95% of us or so) have a tax break.

OTHERWISE..

This is big.. remember this was written into law under Bush and if the Democrats cannot get the republicans to cooperate with re-writing the law.. the tax cuts will end..and all our taxes go up.

The 10% and less tax break goes away and if I read that correctly the lowest tax bracket will be 15%

So we need to get this out.

If the republicans do not cooperate.. all our taxes are going up because of them and a law already in place

1. In the long run we probably need to go back to Clinton tax rates.

Those rates demonstrated they could be sustained by the American economy. But for now, with our problems caused by the drop in demand, it would not be good to let it lapse.

2. We really do need to keep those child credits for the middle class

it could hurt those who are already hurting.. lower their weekly take home or forcing them to do a large payout end of year.. but anyway you look at it.. for the middle class it would be less money to gin into the economy.

This is a republican problem coming home roost.

5. I especially disagree with the child credits

Unlike the child care credit that is limited to the expenses for two children, the child tax credit is unlimited. We don't need to subsidize breeding programs by fundamentalist religious nuts any more.

3. Greed

Show Republican greed for what it is. Let all Bush tax cuts expire. Propose a bill NOW to re-instate or extend middle class tax cuts ONLY and let the Pukes run against it. AT THE SAME TIME, submit a bill to eliminate the SS payroll tax cap and exempt the first $20,000 of payroll from SS tax. Let the Pukes run against THAT. ALSO, put a 10% raise of SS benefits for seniors and the disabled (which would be affordable if the payroll cap is removed). Let the Pukes run against THAT. Payroll taxes are regressive. Time for the wealthy to start paying. Put money in the hands of people who will spend it.

4. I say let all the tax breaks expire

After a bit of consternation by the rich, there will be a sense that we're finally starting to get a handle on deficit spending, and the investment climate will improve eventually.
