2012 is going to be epic.
All this talk for the last year has been about Democratic discontent with Pres. Obama. The talk surrounded a primary challenge to Pres. Obama and how the left was essentially forming a backlash campaign to oust a sitting president.

We've been told it could get ugly. 1980 ugly.

They were right. They just had the two parties wrong.

When Pres. Obama is easily wrapping up the Democratic nomination with an Iowa and NH victory - the Republicans are going to be eating themselves alive.

The tea-bagger Queen Palin might win Iowa, but then she could lose New Hampshire to...Mitt Romney. Or worse, a moderate! :wow:

They are going to fuck themselves.

The Republican Party is ripping at the seams and 2012 is finally going to be the point where it's torn apart.

1. The GOP might not even hold together till 2012. They're on a fasttrack to civil war. nt

2. I like the way you think. I hope things turn out just the way you say.
The way you describe it is almost 1968 bad only this time with the repubs.

3. Between now and then a bunch of freshly elected teabaggers will be redistricting the nation.
Yeah, it might be epic. But maybe not in the way we would like.

6. Sorry, but we just had a census.

The current prediction is that after this election, the GOP will pick up eight Governor's seats and get huge gains in statehouses (where there will be a lot of teabaggers we've never even heard of).

They will be redesigning elections from the ground up.

5. If most or all of the tea party candidates get their butts kicked...
It is likely that the Bagger-Birchers will bolt, fracturing the party. Of course, if they lose, the first thing they will do is blame voting machines, Acorn, and Chicago style politics.

Of course, if they should win...

7. You do know that Sarah Palin is on record as saying she liked the sound of a Romney/Palin ticket?
Edited on Tue Sep-14-10 10:39 PM by ClarkUSA
She said it in response to a question regarding speculation about running again. I think she got it backwards, as usual. I can easily see her winning the GOP nomination.

Just imagine those debates!

12. I hope the Dems realize they need to firm up their Dem credentials & not go all teabag themselves
It's ridiculous that I even have to be afraid of this, but, we need to prop up our side and help them find their values again.

17. I've been saying this for a while: GOP primaries will be a bloodbath
Edited on Wed Sep-15-10 01:56 AM by Adenoid_Hynkel
The teahadists will line up with Palin, Newt will try to cut in by being more outlandish, but it's Sarah the wingnuts are crushing on and he isn't going anyhere.
Pawlenty and the Huckster will be also-rans, and Romney will end up the establishment pick and it will come down to a one-on-one with Sarah which will get ugly.
And her cult aint letting go. either she's the nominee, or they never accept Mitt as their man and will implode at the convention
The GOP media machine has built her too much and made any attack on her out to be the work of "elitists' who don't "share your values."
It will be hard for them to put that genie back into it's bottle when the party leaders don't want Sarah as their pick.
It's gonna be hilarious to watch.
