1. Back At You Joe
It would be great to see the dems holding them accountable, not caving or compromising.

4. Did you see the interview? Have you been paying attention lately? I think
the "we're all one big happy family" days are over. I think we've turned around.

6. I Did See The Interview
But still think that promises delivered will go a long way in getting out their base. The Warren thing is a good start, if they do DADT, that will be huge and then if they hold the Cons' feet to the fire on tax cuts I think they will garner a more 'fired up ready to go' attitude from progressives.

10. I think -- or it's been my impression -- that they've begun holding their
feet to the fire, and after Biden's explanation I'm actually excited about the outcome of DADT. Before it just seemed like they weren't paying attention to it - like they didn't care, but we've now heard they've been really working on it.

The Reps are actually starting to back down about the tax cuts - something I never thought I'd see/hear (especially from Boehner!).

And Warren, boy was that a relief. We've been disappointed before by his choices and we kept hearing Geithner (:grr:) didn't want her (gee, wonder why) so I was nervous about that. I think it would have been disastrous had he not chosen her.

So recently that 'fired up ready to go'' attitude has been rekindled -- it's getting there! :hi:

2. As he said if we stay at home we risk the things that we have accomplished
already. I am voting come hell or high water.

5. I loved the quote from the Boston mayor: "Don't compare me with the Almighty,
compare me with the Alternative". The very thought makes my blood run cold. :hi:

15. I find it depressingly pragmatic/centrist and not at all progressive.

I mean, look at the competition in this case -- they certainly aren't dealing with reality. Everything they profess is abstract, ideological... and they continue to rake in followers because of it.

14. Biden: "when voters see the alternative [to a Democratic controlled congress]..."

We'll presumably vote Democratic. That's a very strange, bold statement. Not quite sure how to take that.
