"Anti-Colonial Worldview?" You say that like it's a BAD thing, Newt.....
And that's what I don't get.

Is there something wrong with regarding colonialism as one of the great evils of human culture?

Is there a down side to thinking that elbowing your way onto someone else's continent, grabbing their resources, killing them when they object, forcing them onto marginal land with little or no subsistence, and then classifying them as second-class human beings is a lousy way to evolve?

Help me out here, someone... make a case for why bringing your guns, germs, and steel to a place where they can wipe out whole cultures and ethnic groups and leave you with the swag is somehow morally superior.

Cripes, Newt. You might want to have that circuit in your speech center re-wired to move through that single cognitive neuron BEFORE it activates the voice box.

In fact, any neurosurgeon who can perfect that operation will get wealthy off the GOP. Paging Mitch McConnell and his Poor Little Rick Folks act...

amazedly,
Bright

5. The first step in a discussion is to get your terms straight.
It's difficult to ask an already printed source to redefine its terms. It's a facile mistake to make, of course.

D'Souza's definition of (anti)colonialist rather differs from what many assume he must have said; some get it right by accident. Without reading what he wrote and understanding it, it's hard to seriously argue with it even though the true believers will dutifully shout "amen". After reading his "research" it's possible to argue with it but the arguments tend more often to be cogent. (Sometimes they're still not cogent, dwelling not with his claim, evidence, or logic, but content with falsifying a supposedly illustrative example or two, as though contrary = contradictory.)
