Even Ras shows NH tightening (PPP had a poll out yesterday showing Ayotte up by four).

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Ayotte picking up 51% of the vote, while Hodes, a congressman, draws support from 44%, his best showing to date. One percent (1%) prefer another candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

Though Ayotte’s support is unchanged from early August, she held a 13-point lead over Hodes at that time, 51% to 38%, without leaners. If leaners are not part of the totals, Ayotte leads Hodes by a 48% to 41% margin. In prior surveys since February, Ayotte has been the frontrunner with support in the range of 46% to 51%, while Hodes has captured 35% to 39% of the vote.

Forty-seven percent (47%) approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

This statewide telephone survey of 500 Likely Voters in New Hampshire was conducted on September 15, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/-4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
