(R)asmussen Poll--WA Senate: Murray: 51% (+4) Rossi 46% (-4)
This is the third poll in two days to show Patty Murray forging ahead in the WA senate race, two polls yesterday (Elway & CNN) gave Murray a 9-point lead, Rasmussen (of course) shows it somewhat less, but shows Murray surging even in their poll:

Incumbent Democratic Senator Patty Murray is slightly ahead this month in her bid for reelection in Washington State.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Murray with 51% support, her best performance so far, while Republican challenger Dino Rossi earns 46% of the vote, with leaners included. One percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided.

Late last month, when leaners were included, Rossi held a slight 50% to 47% lead over Murray. Leaners are those who initially indicate no preference for either of the candidates but answer a follow-up question and say they are leaning towards a particular candidate. From this point forward, Rasmussen Reports considers results with leaners the primary indicator of the race.

1. Well
After polls showing Murray with a large lead RAS reverses and shows her ahead.Fairly soon expect more polls where Democrats If
not leading are close enough to make It a race from RAS.

4. A fellow DUer posted that yesterday's front page of the Seattle Times wrote a
scathing (but factual) piece on Rossi.

5. So that means she is ahead by say 7% or more?
We all know Ramussen's rep. I think this is one race that just won't flip.
