(From Sen. Lisa Murkowski's new e-mail blast.)
Folks, Rachel's Maddow's coming to you live tonight with special coverage of the 2010 elections.
This election is taking on historic proportions -- it matters, and we all need to understand as much about it as we can.Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight gives the Democrats a 16 percent chance of holding onto the House.
In Alaska, Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski touts polls showing that her write-in bid is going up like a rocket. Republican leaders say they're eight different flavors of worried about the chances for the Tea Party nominee, Joe Miller. Democrat Scott McAdams is posting his donor list and playing offense, against Sen. Murkowski -- message: I'm viable, and she's the one I need to beat.
In Nevada, our guest Jon Ralston just called the race for Democratic Sen. Harry Reid: Reid's handlers have run one of the most spectacular campaigns in history at all levels: The turnout machine is formidable. The TV has been pitch perfect. The strategy -- to peel moderate Republicans and independents who might not like their guy away from Angle -- has worked.
And, perhaps equally important, Republicans managed to nominate the one person this year who could lose to Reid.
We'll see you at 9 p.m. Eastern tonight with much, much more.
