Alaska Senate: Murkowski Campaign Again Confirms She’ll Caucus with GOP

A spokesman for “U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski says she fully intends to caucus with Republicans if she wins re-election as a write-in candidate,” the AP reports.

Questions about Murkowski’s intentions caused a flurry on Twitter Sunday after she told CNN she would return to a new Congress to represent the interests of Alaskans and not the GOP.

She’s been making similar comments throughout the campaign as she seeks to build a broad coalition of support. Her spokesman, Steve Wackowski, told The Associated Press Sunday that she’s a lifelong Republican, hasn’t changed her principles and fully intends to caucus with the GOP if re-elected.
