The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, and their friends and families, singing "True Colors" for the "It Gets Better" project:

I really don't think it's possible to watch this without getting chills.

The love and compassion that they feel for others is still going to be part of our world after tomorrow night no matter what happens, which is why I'm posting this here with the election threads. I'm alternating between being scared and sad and depressed that the Tea Party has made political discourse so angry and oppositional, and a tiny bit hopeful that election night won't be as bad as we fear... but the main thing I'm feeling and the main thing that saddens me is how angry the world looks these days, as if we weren't all in this together on this tiny blue dot. And then here comes something so beautiful, hands reaching out to others' hands... it makes me feel a lot better about the world.
