steam ahead. I have been working the ground, and phones occasionally, for weeks. Phonebanked for an hour today and lit dropped my final pile. Plenty of phone bankers in the office. Almost all Dems I have contacted are voting or have voted early. I think we have a good shot at retaining our state House, the state Senate will be very close, and I think our congressional members will win. We have very high hopes for our local state House candidate who has a great shot at taking out an asshat Puke incumbent. That would be sweet. He has worked his ass off, and we've worked our asses off helping him. The real sad one is the governor's race. The Dem can not win, and the only hope of stopping the scroatbag RePuke is by voting for the independent. Hopefully the moderate indy can stop the PUKE. This election is ALL GOTV, and all I can say is we are trying very hard.

2. Unfortunately the early voters won't be able to help swing things towards Cutler. :^( What

a very frustrating race. I would have rather have voted for Mitchell, but thanks to plurality voting it's not going to be able to happen.

5. Same with me. Had to pull it for Cutler to try to stop LePUKE. Otherwise, an all D ballot.

3. Angus King just endorsed Cutler
It will seem weird, but I think Cutler may be the way to go.

LePage: worked for Mardens and then fucked up Waterville. He's gotta be stopped.

10. Cutler started out as a "D"
His ideas about education or horrible but in line with Arne Duncan's (ugh!)

Anyway, I waited until the last minute hoping Libby could pull it out....now, I'm just voting to survive the crazy.

9. I'm not there today, but
I've been GOTVing for Boxer and Brown and it's a pretty well-oiled, well-staffed machine. Of course, I live in Los Angeles, so what I'm seeing may not be a fair representation of what's going on state-wide.

13. I'm so happy to hear other DUers are making calls.
The way I look at it, no matter what happens tomorrow, at least we know we tried to make a difference.

:toast: to all the volunteers!

14. Canvassing and calling,
Putting in 8 hour days. I have never seen so many people working this hard. Not even for Obama. Many new faces around here. I came back from canvassing and who was phone banking? One of my best friends from high school. Hadn't seen her since the 70's. She didn't get active till this year. The teabaggers are scaring the sh*t out of everyone.

I wrote a LTTE last week that got at least 3 new ones to volunteer. All I did was paste and copy the Iowa Republicans platform and add a few comments of my own. I thought everyone should know what they really believe in.

Oh and the pukes? Nothing. Their office was closed today. Of course, they have about 2 million dollars worth of shady money running negative ads day and night here. I'm still scared silly. If we lose Bruce Braley. It will be devastating. He is the best!

16. In Iowa, most Dems I talked to were excited to vote or already had
There were a few hangups, but mostly people are ready to go vote.
