The thing about Palin
Listening to reporting from Alaska on Sirius "The Press Pool" -- came to this realization about Palin.

She's a complete narcissist, right? She's all about drama. I generally NEVER watch / listen to her. It's like GWB...can't stomach her screechy voice! Nails on a chalkboard. But, the vitriol coming from her over this past weekend, in re the reporters in Anchorage and POLITICO (you know, "corrupt bastards," "crap" and all!). I thought she really showed her true colors. Even the look on her face...like a tightly closed sphincter. So, I did revel in that a bit.

So here's my epiphany: should she stay in the public / political arena, esp. a run for Pres (excuse me while I throw up a little - no, a lot - in my mouth!)... it will be the total DRAMA (as Nicole Wallace, a McCain advisor in '08 termed it: CHAOS) will drive the American electorate crazy, in short order. Just the DRAMA alone, since many voters don't seem to be able to understand actual issues! :)

Ya heard it here 1st!

1. Palin Will Not Be The Republican Nominee in 2012
Nor will she even run. She's in this for the money.

3. I think she'll run and get beaten in the primaries.
Right now she is known as "former vice president candidate for John McCain"

If she ran herself, her official title woudl be, "Former Presidential Candidate". The speaking fee$$$ would go way up and her books would sell even more copies. Also it will give her the perfect opportunity to paint herself as a victim because we know the other Repubes will destroy her character even more during the primaries.

She knows she'll lose, but just the title and what goes with is much more prestigious than what she is now.

4. Far too early to say. At this point I agree with you but ...
much depends on the economy at that time. (I believe we are finally starting to see a turn around and by the Presidential election the economy should be in great shape.)

If it's not, look for people like Donald Trump to run. Palin will lose in the primaries.

If the economy is in real good shape, the Republicans may use her as their sacrificial candidate. (like Bob Dole and John McCain.)

But one thing for sure, in order to keep the money flowing in she has to act like she might run, otherwise the media will largely ignore her.
