If the GOP can take only the House - it will be the first time since 1930...
that a resurgent out-party was able to capture only one of two houses during a mid-term election.

I wouldn't exactly mark that as a "huge" win.

3. You're absolutely right, but the media won't paint it that way...
Of course, if it were the other way around, the media would be quick to point out the Democrats couldn't gain control of the Senate.

4. That will be glossed over as the pundits declare the Repubs resurgent...
in a "tidal wave" of disapproval for the Dems.

5. It's not a win because they wouldn't be able to do anything.
I still don't think they'll get the House, though.

6. Precisely. The country is not ready to re-embrace the GOP
People are just frustrated. 2012 will be more telling.

7. They have been all noise and sloppiness
with absolutely nothing to offer. They should have been at risk of being finished off or submerging to third parties. Without their power and money props they would have been even more laughable and much more losing. One of those props is poor centrist Dem political common sense and another the general corruption of money.

11. but don't forget the "liberally-biased media" ...
you know, the one which went on and on in 1994 about the "Republican landslide", but was kinda lame reporting the 2006 "Dem destruction of the permanent Republican majority prediction" ...

14. You are leaving out all of the elections in which the resurgent out-party
didn't capture either chamber. Losing the House is still a big deal. There will be non stop investigations of the Obama Administration.
