The cagy hints are now over, and they have to be the ones to come up with their fantastical plans to blossom forth as the nurturing champions of the people and solve all our woes.

Even if they get met with vetoes, bellyaching about that can only go so far.

The Constitution is an interesting thing: the power of initiating legislation and spending rests in the lower house, and it's their duty now to lead and lead clearly.
