The Supreme Court has let loose hell..

In Iowa we got wiped off the map.. and we had a budget surplus.. we are one of the lowest in the nation in foreclosures.. we have a robust and growing manufacturing segment..and we are one of the lowest in unemployment.. 6.8

All that done by a Democratic house and Governor.. who got booted by shadow money and a voting populace who do not care about the facts anymore.

And what is feeding that is organizations who sounds so family friendly and patriotic and do not have to report how they are funded because corporations now have rights of citizens.

We had a great turnout.. early voting.. everything that you would think would work.

People.. You are about to be Steamrolled by secret mass money if you do not wake up and smell the coffee

Look at Iowa.. Look what happened

7. You guys fought big money..but it was a self funding big money
that could be easily identified.. What we fought here.. was the corporations, the hidden Koch brothers.. and any number of values groups

I am very happy for California.. and yep.. go figure.. But GOD did we get targeted here.

We dragged into the public light, and we won. High unemployment, etc. We won. Sorry if I am not looking to Iowa for the wisdom.

8. In CA people knew that Meg & Carly were trying to buy the election & the voters didn't go for it
I think, because Meg & Carly COULDN'T HIDE IT, since it was their own money. It was the soft, Hidden Money that bought the Repub. elections in the rest of the country. The Koch brothers, etc, hid behind their nice sounding patriotic names. And people fell for it. I almost threw up last nite when I heard Toomey in PA thanks all the "little people" for their small contributions that won him the election. He forgot to mention that big turd of a money bomb from the Koch brothers that really put him in office.

33. Lawrence O'Donnell was asking the question about why "big money" worked
against Feingold and Grayson, but not in California and Connecticut. This post nails it - people are not impressed when candidates spend their OWN money, but they'll easily get sucked in by ads from shadowy outside groups!

16. Same good employment statistics here in NH
In fact, we retained our governor because of this good performance while losing both House seats and a possible Senate pickup.

Why?

Because the fucking criminals at the Chamber of Commerce and Crossroads pumped millions in ads constantly bashing the great Dems we had on the ticket, that's why. If the government doesn't deal with this issue, that perhaps Constitutional remedies are in order.

22. Jack Conway
One thing I really hate about Jack losing, other than being represented by the new clown in chief of the senate, is that he ahd some clear ideas on this. I asked him about the Citizen's United decision, and he had some specific legislative ideas that would avoid the issues that the SC ruled on. Of course this bought and paid for SC would find another justification. We have to do something though or we are done.

29. You sound like you are advocating real violence -- but you're going to sit back and watch?
>>>If we want to save our sons and daughters we are going to have to take it to the streets. .... But I want the storm to come from the true Patriots. Those fellow citizens who truly believe their country would never do anything that is against their best interest. Now that will be the popcorn moment. And we should be doing everything to encourage that. It is time to get the information on all the dirt we can to expose them for what is really happening.<<<

Do you really mean what you are saying? Just asking.

Hekate

31. a
you beat them the same way you did in the last 2 cycles.........reinvigorate the grassroots by using the mailing and email list that got them so many small donations from millions of people, repeatedly.....

why they stopped that after it was so successful is beyond me. maybe they felt so bad for the people to ask them for money. maybe they are storing up for 2012?
who the fuck knows the brainless scheme that has unfolded in the last 2 yrs....

he has intelligence of jfk, the economy of fdr, and the messaging of jimmy carter.......

34. Organize voters. Educate them about power and money,
and see what they can figure out about who is really making their lives hard. Work with them as they figure out ways to gain power. That may be political or economic.

As to what to do, that is up to them.

35. We have got to figure out every and any way possible
to expose that secret dirty money, and make people see who is pulling the wool over their eyes. Every chance we get, one by one, in groups, on You Tube, editorials to newspapers, signs, bumperstickers, street theatre--anything.

But I feel very strongly that although some people deeply deserve ridicule, that this does not win friends and allies on a personal level. We have some serious convincing to do, and we have got to be as psychologically savvy as possible.
