10. My experience working for 4 years in the Bridgeport area was that

the city was pretty dysfunctional. At the time Joe Ganim was mayor and he was a dismal mayor and later sent to prison for his malfeasance while in office.

Now Foley wants to sue because the polls in B'port stayed open til 10 to accommodate voters. I guess this will land on our new A.G.'s lap...

9. No, it's the Registrar of Voters Fault

I am from CT. I argue it's the Registrar of Voters Fault along with the Secretary of State for not having people ready to deliver the excess amount of ballots in any given location/town/city when they run ouf of such paper.

Sorry....not Obama's fault on this one. It's the State of CT's fault for this problem.

11. Our paper ballot system is relatively new. My husband has worked the polls

at our local precinct for years. He said that they had run short of ballots in the recent past but got a supply quickly and didn't have a problem...

The old lever machines looked pretty stone age to me, but we never really had a problem with them IIRC...but it's just my supposition...

Our town (East Lyme) was one of the test sites for the system the entire state went to last year, and has been using this system for about 5 years. I actually like it, it is quick, easy, and leaves a concrete paper trail.

The shortage of ballots is just typical of Connecticut, why plan when we can litigate later.

it just sounds like Borges believes that the unusually high turnout in Bridgeport was due in part to the President's visit.

Obama lived on the South Side of Chicago. There is a neighborhood on the South Side called Bridgeport, named after Bridgeport, CT. Therefore, Obama is indeed responsible for Bridgeport, CT running out of ballots. :sarcasm:
