RUSS FEINGOLD for DNC Chair! Before this week could you answer this question?
Who is the chairman of the Democratic National Committee???

Ok anyone??... anyone??.. Bueller???? Before this last week could you have named the Chair of the DNC??? ok it was Tim Kaine.

This guy was so behind the scenes that he may as well have been Howard Hughes - I mean I think most Americans can tell us who the RNC Chair was- Michael Steele - for whatever reason he got a lot of face time (and no you can't just give credit to Fox News). He was controversial and had quotable sound bites which gave the Repubs a voice.

Did you hear Tim Kaine's voice in the last 11 months or so - NO! But it is his responsibility to ensure that OUR MESSAGE gets out to the media and this guy was just TOO TIMID. Most Dems I spoke with had NO IDEA who was "leading" us during this past year or so.

Why???? We need to ask this question as to who in their right mind placed this very nice, but undynamic individual at the helm of the DNC during one of the most important mid-term elections of our time!!!!

Unfortunately, Tim Kaine was an abject failure.

We need someone who can garner the media's attention, someone who can be a game changer in these modern election cycles - we need another progressive like HOWARD DEAN, so I propose the Democratic party select Russ Feingold to lead the DNC.

1. I think he would be excellent for this.
He's unfortunately free at the moment, and he's a strong, liberal voice.

3. Yes, I think he should still be a U.S. Senator, but the party needs Feingold as DNC Chair.

It's a great loss to the Senate and to the people of Wisconsin, but could be a wonderful
plus to the National party!

2. Feingold and Dean are very similar (they will fight repubs) -- Obama hates this -- this is why Kaine
was picked.

4. Somebody new is needed, for sure!
Feingold might be good; he's definitely available. As for Steele being more visible, I think that has more to do with the lack of a leader amongst the Repubs. More of a placeholder, really.

5. I think Kaine's chair was a 'sorry, I was gonna make you VP but needed Biden' prize

I don't think he wanted it, was ready for it, or has done anything with it

RARE-ly have I seen him even on TV, not to mention in PR or video diaries or messages of encouragement.
