We Should Ask Lisa Murkowski To Caucus With Us
After all it was Sarah Palin who recruited Joe Miller to take her out, out of some personal pique with the Murkowski family. And some Repugnants like Jim DeMented still support him.

1. She Won't

Her father was a (rather famous) Republican. She'll convince herself that she can change the party from within, or some such nonsense.

And
Her father was a (rather famous) Republican who Sarah Palin and the Tea Baggers declared war on.

It wont' happen. If it did it would further drive down Sarah Plain's stock. One can dream.

18. You Missed My Point

Yes, I know that Palin declared war on her father. My point was that she identifies with the Republicans because of her father, and she isn't going to strike back at Palin by joining the enemy. She will, as I suggested, more likely decide that the way to change the system is from within. She's wrong, but I am pretty sure that's what she'll conclude.

2. We should ask her to take a flying leap off the bridge to nowhere...
if it weren't for her arrogance, I bet we would have taken that seat.

3. I Doubt Enought Of Her Forty Percent Supprt Would Have Went To McAdams To Make A Difference
Edited on Thu Nov-04-10 06:37 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
And it in any case it was a public rebuke of Sarah Palin by people who know her best. It also created fissures among Rebublicans and Tea Baggers which can only redound our her benefit. But for Palin's meddling Alaska would have been a relatively safe and quiet win for the Republicans.

4. Exactly
Take the difference in the vote totals for Begich two years ago, and subtract the votes that McAdams got, and you'll see the number of Democratic voters who wanted to save the state from Miller by voting for Murkowski.

9. McAdams was a lost cause when DSCC refused to support him early in the race
they felt Alaska was a lost cause so they provided no support.

Personally I was very disappointed. We proved we could win Alaska with Mark Beglich and it's a cheap state to run an election and get ads on TV.

We could have dropped about a million in the state and probably beat both Murkowski and Miller but we didn't.

19. He raised over a million himself.
and the DSCC kicked in at least 168,000 for advertising in the last week or so.

He had enough money - just not enough time imo.

22. She won't do it-not a CHANCE! Plus, Palin would probably consider that a victory...
"forcing" her out of the party somehow. Murkowski is a CONSERVATIVE Repub.-but not a teabagger.
