During the campaigns, Obama and the Democrats found a message that would resonate with Americans
Edited on Thu Nov-04-10 04:49 PM by brentspeak
The message of unlimited Powers That Be corporate money swaying our democracy and bypassing the little guy was 'too little, too late' to do much for the elections, but if Obama and the Democrats continue to make it an issue in front of the cameras, and repeat it and repeat it and repeat it, Americans of all stripes -- not just the Democratic base -- will take the Democrats' side on the issue. Americans don't like the idea of Big Government running their lives, but they don't like the idea of Wall Street and Corporate America trampling all over them and deciding their elections for them, either.

The Democratic party has to be about something tangibly good for people to latch onto it; the effort to keep corporate/Wall St. money out of our democracy is something that people can immediately understand. The Democrats should continue to aggressively pursue it to win people back over.
