If even Pelosi decides not to run for Minority Leader, this will give her clout to name a successor.

5. Blue Dogs are THE problem
until we deal with them as the corporate moles they are, no one will be represented. The GOP is not the only thing preventing us from having a real representative democracy. They are owned by the upper class.

9. Nancy Was A Powerful Speaker And Thorn In The Side Of Repugs.......
she'll do a great job as minority leader in the House and will still be in the Repubs face - and they will hate that. Nancy is the only Dem that makes sense for this job. With her experience as the Speaker - she'll be on Boner ass all the time.

Go Nancy!!!!!

15. I would think that with a more liberal caucus (many blue dogs were defeated) that Pelosi
should have no problem being elected minority leader if she chooses to run for it.

16. I think your right, and I think Pelosi will do what she thinks is best for the Democratic party.

I also think if the economy comes back, it will not be so easy to demonize Pelosi. The independents will swing back to the Democrats if we get the job done.

18. Of course the Blue Dogs don't get to call the shots. But there's no use
prodding them with a sharp stick either.

That lost us half a dozen more seats after the '94 election... and with redistricting coming up, that could easily happen again.

Let them get their own candidate and have him lose handily. They're just running scared after watching their political lives flash before their eyes and they want to publicly distance themselves from Pelosi. Better here than on an actual vote.

The Blue Dogs aren't going to hold any power in the House this term... their votes won't make the difference on any issue of substance so they're no danger. So it's best to leave them alone and ignore them.

23. The creep from OK has already said she should resign
someone named Barton or something like that. He said she is not conservative enough. Hell I thought republicans were supposed to be conservative not Democrats. What in the devil is he doing running under a Democrat name. I sent him an email and told them at the end they probably wouldn't show it to him, But he sucks and I wish he loosers and they never hear from him again.

26. Screw Pelosi, why should she be in charge of anything?
She failed starting in 2006, when the opportunity was there to halt the Bush agenda, stop the wars, investigate all the crazy shit going on, etc etc. Nope, she immediately rolled over and delivered to BushCo anything they asked.

Then with a huge majority in 2008-2010 she delivered conserva-Dem dominated bills to the worthless Senate, helping to dispirit the base and was a key factor in the recent election.

Down with corporate liberalism. Pelosi should resign.
