I can handle a suspension like David Schuster's was in 2008 over his Chelsea comments say but I am confused. Is Keith suspended indefinitely or is he de facto fired and not likely to appear on MSNBC air again? Please clarify.

7. I agree
Its an ego thing more than anything else. Right now the head rooster is trying to show that he is the head rooster.

But I don't know if Keith will be back or not...

4. Let me jump in since I have absolutely nothing but my opinion with is worthless:
1. I've learned from other DUers that the policy in fact allows employees to contributed to political campaigns as long as they disclose it to MSNBC, and that other anchors who had contributed had complied with the contract. (A way to verify would be to look up political contributions from the other anchors and see if indeed others had contributed and are still on air :7)

2. Keith didn't disclose his contributions.

One DUer felt, and I concur, that if Olbermann offers a mea culpa they will probably bring him back. He's one of their cash cows so I'd assume they'd want to retain him. Since this was made public (the contributions) they probably had to take this action in fairness to others who had followed the rules.

Standing by to read responses to others who know far more than I. :hi:

8. I have this feeling...
...that there is more to this than what we are reading on the surface. Could there be other reasons that we are not aware of? Is this simply the last starw...?
