I'm hearing that the Dems have backed off of the 'public option'. I see where a loophole will allow coverage limits to be imposed by the Health Insurance companies. I see where they are backing away from being able to obtain pharmaceuticals cheaper from other countries. What is happening?

Beyond that - we've escalated the war in Afghanistan. Nothing seems to be happening on the jobs front. Bankers and wall street is still making out like bandits.

Bring me up to date here folks - what happened while I was away?
